The approval determinator has been developed using the guidance produced by Nigel Whitely and the North East London Approval Food Liaison Sub Group. It comprises an interactive flow chart which is intended to assist in the decision making process with regard to the identification of establishments which require approval in accordance with Regulation (EC) 853/2004.
The approval determinator should be treated as a general guide to approval decisions but not as definitive. If in doubt about the approval status of an establishment, you are advised to consult the FSA guidance or your own legal services.
