A man has been forced to close his two premises in Huddersfield after Environmental Health Officers found a ‘serious mouse infestation’.

Stephen Houghton of 120 New Street, Huddersfield, HD1 2UD, born 22 March 1975, was found guilty of food hygiene offences at Kirklees Magistrates’ Court on 7 March 2025.

Mr Houghton was ordered to pay a total of £4208.62 which includes a fine of £770, a surcharge of £308 and contribution to costs of £3130.

Bar Maroc and Small Seeds Bar, both of 120 New Street in Huddersfield, were forced to close after being inspected in November 2023 and January 2024 respectively.
