Job description

The relationship that the FSA has with its partners in local authorities is key to our work protecting consumer health.

The Local Authority Partnerships Team are a vital connecting point between the FSA and local authorities in Wales. Providing guidance to local authorities with regards to food and animal feed law, codes of practice and other centrally issued guidance. This can inform FSA policy development, ensuring that new processes are informed by experience of delivery.

The Local Authorities Partnership Manager role offers an exciting opportunity for candidates to work closely with a range of stakeholders, helping to ensure that food and feed produced in Wales is safe and exactly what it says it is.

Through close working relationships with local authority officers across all levels, the post holder will offer day to day support so that consistent delivery is achieved across Wales. From the coordination of the Feed Delivery Programme to supporting local authorities in addressing the findings of FSA audits, your work will be key to our success.

The post holder will work to ensure that FSA policy development takes into account interests specific to Wales, as well as the specific experiences of our local authority colleagues providing delivering official controls.

A recognised professional qualification that satisfies the requirements of the Feed and/or Food Law Codes of Practice (Wales) for performing official food and feed controls
